YouthInform is a platform through which young people can be informed about important issues that matter to them. Certain topics are not openly discussed in Cyprus, but young people still need to be informed. This platform can be their go-to when they have questions.
The platform will be a repository of resources developed from previous projects, with the consent of the authors, as well as a hub for new content.
AIM
To provide young people in Cyprus with a platform containing information on issues which matter to them.
OBJECTIVES
LITERATURE REVIEW
Following a Literature Review, the Global Shapers Nicosia Hub team concluded that although appropriate information for young people is available in Greek, this is very limited and often very subject-specific. Young people will benefit from a single, trusted platform which contains all the information they need.
RESOURCE COLLECTION
Resources will be identified from a range of websites, platforms, and projects. Their authors will be contacted for permissions.
RESOURCE REVIEW
New content will be proofread by related individuals or organisations, such as doctors and NGOs, to ensure its validity.
Before the website is officially launched, five individuals who are youth workers, volunteers, or representatives of youth organisations, will also have the opportunity to provide feedback on the content. This ensures that the content is also relevant to people directly interacting with young people.
Finally, 10 young people aged 11-25 will provide feedback on the developed resources, allowing the project partners to make any changes necessary.
